Zwift is an indoor cycling app that lets you ride in virtual worlds with other cyclists online around the world. Zwift requires a subscription for adults but it is free for under 16s to use. Follow the website link for a step by step guide to account set up provided by the ZwiftInsider blog.

Caveat: although the account is free you will need not only a bike that fits your child but also a “smart trainer” to attach their bike to. This is an expensive item. Anyone who uses Zwift already or has a smart trainer in their house will be able to get their child set up fairly easily. If you don’t have a smart trainer it’s a big investment so maybe check out this post instead for a quick and easy kids’ Peloton hack.
